Canada Games Winter 2011 Sport Science Program - NS

WHAT IS IT?

The Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic (CSCA) is supported by the four Atlantic provincial governments, Sport Canada, Canadian Olympic Committee and the Coaching Association of Canada.  The CSCA aims to offer efficient services for the sport community and meet the needs of athletes and coaches at national and provincial levels residing in Atlantic Canada.

The CSCA has continued to develop the Sport Science Program to assist Atlantic Canada's athletes and coaches to achieve their optimal performances at the Canada Games.  In this program, the CSCA will work with Canada Games appointed coaches to coordinate a series of sessions with the CSCA's sport science experts.

Each discipline of the CSCA Integrated Support Team is an essential component for athletes training at an elite level.

Teams enrolled in the Canada Games Sport Science Program will receive an integrated and tailored program of scientific support throughout the time leading up to the Games.  This will include (if applicable) mental training, nutrition, strength and conditioning programs and fitness testing.
